Sure to be a spectacular showcase, the stars of the music world are all set to converge for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in las Vegas on Sunday evening (May 20).

Held at the MGM Grand Arena, the red carpet action gets underway at 6:30PM ET with big names such as Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Charlie Sheen and Julianne Hough all expected to turn up for the Sin City based ceremony.

Having recently reached out to friends and family after being reported missing for over a week, Nick Stahl has entered rehab to get professional help, according to his wife.

In a report put out by E! News on Sunday (May 20), the "Terminator 3" actor's bride, Rose Stahl, confirmed that Nick had checked in to a treatment center the previous evening.

According to Rose, the 32 year-old sent an "unemotional and unapologetic e-mail" on Friday night explaining that he was okay and was planning on entering a 30-day program that night, adding that he would make future arrangements to get his clothes. Pleasing yet another one of his millions of fans, Justin Bieber surprised one lucky girl with a video message at her prom with an offer she couldn't resist.

Since February of 2011, a Virginia high school student named Cady Eimer has been tweeting and even campaigned on a website titled "OneLessLonelyProm" in hopes that her wish for the Biebs to take her to prom would come true - and on Saturday night (May 19), she received more than she expected.

While spending her night dancing and hanging out with friends, Cady was surprised during prom with a video message from the music superstar made just for her. During the video, the 18 year-old heartthrob said he couldn't make it to her prom due to the Billboard music awards, but asked the lucky lady if she and her sister would accompany him to the event. Being the gentleman that he is, Justin thanked Eimer for her support, saying, "I love you… I can’t wait for you and sister to be my guests at the Billboard Awards,” and had all of the arrangements taken care of for her and her sis to fly out to Las Vegas the following morning. Heavily pregnant Chantelle Houghton has moved out of Alex Reid’s home and has gone back to her flat in Essex telling pals: “enough is enough”.

The couple’s relationship has been going down hill since it emerged the cagefighter had messaged Katie Price’s protégée Amy Willerton and things didn’t exactly improve when Alex headed off on tour around the UK for his new play.

Chantelle has told friends that she’s left him because he’s “done something terrible” however refused to divulge what. Presumably she was reffering to the new single he’s planning to release in a few weeks time.

But we shouldn’t make jokes, because the mum-to-be is said to be in a terrible state and is even sleeping on the floor as she doesn’t have any furniture in her flat. A source told the press:

'All she wants to do is get some furniture, she has nothing. It must have been awful whatever he has done, noone knows. She is relieved to be away from him.'

Chantelle has stayed quiet about the subject on Twitter, while Alex retweeted a message from and official Alex Reid site (yes, such a thing really does exist) which claims this split rumours are “untrue”. We guess we’ll have to wait until Tuesday to see what Chantelle has to say about it in whatever magazine she’s sold her story to.

Having rubbed our faces in all the frocks she could wear for her big red carpet debut in Cannes, it seems Kelly Brook finally settled on an outfit choice yesterday.

The um, actress stepped out in a simple 50’s styles white dress, paired with red heels, for the premiere of Keith Lemon’s new film which she’s starring in.

Once off the red carpet however, Kelly swapped into a different outfit; this time a floral jumpsuit which she continued to pose for the paps in while she walked around Cannes.

And we imagine you’ll be seeing Kelly in several different other ensembles before Cannes is over as well. Bet you can’t wait can you?

Poor Emily Atack better prepare herself for a barrage of inevitably ridiculous and insulting Tweets from manic One Direction fans as the tabloids are claiming today that she’s dating Harry Styles from the band.

It’s thought that Harry – who’s been linked to more women in the last few months than we’ve had hot dinners – spent the night with the 22-year-old actress shortly after returning from One Direction’s tour in Australia. A source told The Sunday Mirror:

“They’re perfect for each other, they really are. They’ve been getting to know each other and keeping things quiet but they’re close.

“Harry has always had a crush on her and hoped he could get it together with her and they eventually did.”

It doesn’t sound like the romance is particularly serious though as the source added:

“Everyone hopes they will become an item, but they’re both being realistic. Harry’s about to start a world tour and Emily’s working non-stop.”

Emily has apparently had her eye on Harry for some time now; a couple of years ago she tweeted:

“Does Harry from One Direction HAVE to be 16?! Let’s pretend he’s 18 at least! Then there would only be One Direction he would be going... to the bedroom!”

It seems dreams really do come true then?

Karen Gillan says she is ‘really happy’ with exit from Dr Who

After announcing that she would be leaving Dr Who earlier this year, avid fans of the long running BBC series have been waiting for her dramatic exit scene.

Fans need not worry, Karen has confirmed that she ‘couldn’t have asked for a better exit’ from the show.

Karen described her reaction when reading the script for her final episode. I literally couldn’t read it without crying. It was the most highly charged read-through I’ve ever experienced. But I couldn’t have asked for a better exit. I don’t think it will be what people expect.”

Well we just hope it’s a good one Karen. We hear there will be the return of the Weeping Angels…

Will Smith slaps reporter across the face after he tries to kiss him

The Hollywood actor and Men In Black Star, Will Smith, 43, was approached on the red carpet at the premiere of new movie Men In Black 3 in Moscow.

Will was accosted by Ukranian prankster Vitali Sediuk who gave him a hug before attempting to kiss him.

A surprised Will Smith pushed Sediuk back before slapping him in the face. Sediuk made two attempts at kissing Will on the lips both of which the actor dodged. Will then told those around him that “He tried to kiss me on the mouth. He’s lucky I didn’t try to sucker punch him. Sorry, I said that on camera.”

Sediuk may be a popular prankster in Russia but he clearly didn’t impress Will.

If only we were that brave…

One of the hottest women in showbiz, with a ex-boyfriend list full of some of the most sought after males, it’s hard to believe that Kim Kardashian is worried about groupies hanging around backstage at boyfriend Kanye West’s shows.

The couple who have been in the capital for just under a week are currently dating and have been spotted at a number of high profile events in the lead up to Kanye West and Jay Z’s Watch The Throne Tour.

According to reports, Kim has her own area at the 02 arena, so she can be there to support Kanye. A source said: “She sees how well he gets on with girls because of his sensitive side and has decided to rein in the entourage a bit. Kim is trying to put a stop to this as she doesn’t want to look or feel awkward at any point.”

“She realises he will need to do his thing with Jay-Z and the rest of the crew but she’ll have somewhere for her and her pals to hang out.”

Well if Kim Kardashian is insecure about other women what hope is there for the rest of us?

One is a young white male who is easy on the eyes and plays the guitar. In other words: the same exact pedigree as the last four winners.

The other has a beautiful voice and hasn't been afraid all year long of tacking such major artists as Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. She's responsible for the single most memorable American Idol performance of the season.

Either would be a worthy champion. Only one will wear the crown next Thursday night.

Undoubtedly feeling more at peace with her overly zealous admirer in custody, Mila Kunis' alleged stalker will remain behind bars with a judge setting bail at $150,000 during a hearing on Friday (May 18).

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Stuart Lynn Dunn was arrested in Los Angeles earlier this month (May 12) after following the former "That '70s Show" star to her gym three days in a row.

Spooked after being approached by Dunn on the third day, Miss Kunis decided to contact authorities - with police swiftly swooping in and arresting Stuart while charging him with two counts of felony stalking. As for Dunn's hearing, he adamantly stated that he's innocent while proceeding to enter a 'not guilty' plea - of which the judge voiced his concerns in regards to the defendant's behavior while setting the higher-than-usual bail With the next court date scheduled for May 31st, Stuart was also slapped with a new protective order as part of his bail terms, banning him from going anywhere near Kunis. Will Smith Slaps Smoochy Reporter in Moscow

As he tended to media duties ahead of the Moscow premiere of his new movie "Men In Black III", Will Smith made it clear that he's not one for kisses when it comes to greetings from guys.

The 43-year-old actor was at the Ritz Carlton in the Russian capital city when a Ukrainian reporter dove in to plant a smooch on Smith's face - which ended up being a mistake that the young man won't be forgetting anytime soon.

After first asking for a hug from the former "Fresh Prince" star, who kindly obliged, the journalist attempted to take things further with a liplock - with a startled Will saying, "What the hell is your problem?" Reprimanding the reporter with a backhanded slap across the face, Will talked about the incident with other press members moments later, telling, "He tried to kiss me on the mouth. He's lucky I didn't try to sucker punch him. ... Sorry, I said that on camera." Obama Divorce Story: New Book Claims Michelle Nearly Left Barack in 2000

The controversial new biography of President Barack Obama claims that his wife, Michelle Obama, planned to leave the future president in 2000.

Is the divorce story real? Is anything in the book?

The unauthorized biography, which Klein claims is based on nearly 200 interviews, has been dismissed by presidential spokesperson Eric Schultz.

"Ed Klein has a proven history of reckless fabrication in order to sell books," he said. "Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one."

Nevertheless, the Obama divorce story is the latest revelation in the book - which also discusses his ex Genevieve Cook - to generate major buzz.

In The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, out this week, Klein claims the divorce nearly happened eight years into the Obamas' marriage.

After Obama failed to listen to his wife's warnings in challenging Bobby Rush for his U.S. House seat in 2000 and got creamed, their relationship cooled.

“During the dark days that followed his defeat, he turned to Michelle for comfort. But she was in no mood for sympathy," Klein reportedly writes.

"He had refused to listen to her warnings about taking on Rush."

The primary left them in debt and Barack depressed, Klein claims. “Michelle actually had divorce papers drawn up,” he writes, citing one of her friends.

“Obama was so depressed that some of his friends worried that he was suicidal,” the book adds, without elaboration on that particular point.

Obama, of course, was still in the Illinois State Senate, and went on to win a U.S. Senate seat in 2004 that helped establish his national credentials.

But Michelle almost vetoed the Senate race, too.

Northwestern University professor Steven Rogers told Klein that Obama talked about his ambition after they met at a golf fund-raiser.

“My wife will not allow me to run for the Senate until I clear up the debts from my unsuccessful run for Congress,” Obama said, according to Rogers.

He didn't drop any condoms on the red carpet, but Will Smith experienced his own unusual situation during a movie premiere press line this week.

The actor was in Moscow on behalf of Men in Black III when a reporter from the Ukraine embraced the star with a hug... and then tried to follow that up with a kiss on the lips.

"He's lucky I didn't sucker punch him," Smith is heard telling someone else soon afterward, though he responds very well from the saliva-based attack and is quickly seen below laughing about it.

Giving the ladies a new reason to go to the theater, “Magic Mike” has just released its international trailer.

The new flick is scheduled for a June 29th opening, and promises to be a wild ride, punctuated with plenty of muscular men.
“Magic Mike” was inspired by the pre-movie star life of Channing Tatum, who serves as the lead role in the film. Additional cast members include Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, Cody Horn, Olivia Munn, Matt Bomer, and Riley Keough.

However, according to a pair of tabloid cover stories this week, Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant... and betrayed! It's a darn shame, isn't it?

Naturally, Kris Jenner has already spoken out against rumors that Kourtney kicked out baby daddy Scott Disick and that E! cameras caught the blowup for an upcoming Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode.

"None of it is true," Kris tells E! News of talk that Disick is actually hiding sex tapes from his girlfriend and skipped out on her baby shower May 12 because the couple was fighting.

One thing is for certain: we'll be hearing a lot more about this when season seven of this scripted series premieres on Sunday. Another thing is also for certain: if you care one iota, you need to take a very long look in the mirror.

Amber Portwood Released From Jail, Has a Lot on Plate

Amber Portwood has been released from jail. She got sprung yesterday.

The troubled Teen Mom star was placed back behind bars last week after violating the terms of her probation by failing to appear in an Indiana court.

The 22-year-old allegedly lied about a medical condition to get out of a drug test. Her probation officer called the bluff, asking her doctor directly.

Some very sleepy-eyed Amber Portwood mug shots soon followed.

How's the reality star feeling now that she's back on the other side?

"OK," Amber told E! News. "Just hustling. I've got a lot on my plate."

Naturally.

According to her brother, Shawn Portwood, Amber's "new goal is to join the military." Yes, apparently he's serious. "She was going to work hard to get her charge reduced," added Shawn. "She's been doing so well."

The Teen Mom trailer would suggest otherwise, but here's hoping.

Phillip Phillips: Urged to Seek Medical Help

Might the success of Phillip Phillips on American Idol be jeopardizing his health? Without a doubt, YES, according to the singer's doctors.

TMZ reports that the finalist's physicians are adamant: Phillips needs surgery to repair a kidney issue as soon as possible. His family doctor even spent the entire day last Saturday - during Phillip's Idol-sponsored trip home to Georgia - by the contestant's side.

But Phillips would be sidelines for six weeks if he underwent the recommended procedure, so he is choosing to soldier on through at least next Thursday's American Idol finale.

In the meantime, Phillip is simply taking medication, but that's also resulting in dry mouth and possibly impacting his singing. Either way, though, win or lose, the talented young man's journey will come to an end in one week.

Sean Penn Rips "The Whole F–king World" For Abandoning Haiti

Sean Penn isn't a fan of us right now. Or you, or anyone else.

On Friday at the Cannes Film Festival, the actor-activist slammed the media and public for abandoning Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010.

"It's not only celebrities who went for a day," Penn told reporters of his perceived injustice. "It's the whole f--king world. It's all of you. The reason we have 'Haiti fatigue' is because there was never a commitment in the first place."

A vocal proponent of humanitarian aid, Penn also called upon President Barack Obama to meet with Haiti's newly elected president Michel Joseph Martelly.

"It's time our elegant, formidable president stood side by side [with Martelly]," he said.

The outspoken actor was part of a news conference with Petra Nemcova and director Paul Haggis, all of whom work with nonprofit organizations in Haiti.

The trio joined forces for a benefit for the country at the famed cinema gathering.

The film, which can be translated to be titled “Sons of the Clouds,” takes a look at how colonization of the Western Sahara has left nearly 200,000 people living in refugee camps. Facebook IPO: Stock Falters, Still Raises $16 Billion

Call it the most disappointing $16 billion raised in investment history.

Facebook stock is off to a rocky start after its highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO), jumping more than 10 percent in the first few minutes of trading before sellers swept into the market and that gain evaporated.

“The stock is trading right at the IPO price,” one expert told the L.A. Times. “They didn’t want that in a million years. A traditional IPO is up 10% or 15%.”

The stock most recently hovered at about $40, only $2 above what shares were priced at late Thursday. Shares touched $38 multiple times during trading.

Investors also had to deal with a nearly three-hour delay for the stock to open. The Nasdaq kept the stock halted as it processed a crush of buy and sell orders.

The inauspicious opening after the Facebook IPO suggests that retail investors paid close attention to reports of soft financials and big selling by insiders.

Still, Facebook raised $16 billion in what will go down as the third-largest public offering in U.S. history and the biggest ever for a technology company.

Could be worse, right? Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg rang the Nasdaq opening bell from company headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif.

Eduardo Saverin, one of the company's co-founders, made news this week by giving up U.S. citizenship as a means of limiting his tax liability.

Miley Cyrus to Sexist Clothing Critics: Thank You!

Miley Cyrus isn't one to dress conservatively, and, for that, the singer isn't about to apologize. Quite the opposite, in fact.

During an interview on Lifetime's The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet," when asked about her the reception she's received in the past for provocative attire, Miley said:

"I take it as a compliment. Thank you for thinking I'm sexy!"

Cyrus adds that she was shocked by the backlash when she started donning skimpier outfits, highlighted by outrage over a Vanity Fair photo shoot in 2008.

"People are so scared of seeing a woman being like, 'This is who I am and you're not going to change it,'" she said.

That attitude also led to the release of "Can't Be Tamed" and its accompanying, R-rated music video.

"Even just the title of that, for a woman to say she can't be tamed... for a woman in the world with my face saying 'I can't be tamed' when that's really all people wanted to do, I think proves how sexist people still really are," she believes.

That's certainly an interesting take. Miley, meanwhile, has found herself the talk of the gossip world again this week: Do you think she's too thin?

Looking to pick up some photography supplies, Dianna Agron was spotted out at Samy’s Camera in West Hollywood yesterday (May 17).

The “I Am Number Four” actress donned a flirty southwestern-style skirt and denim jacket as she chatted with the clerk and headed back to her car.
As for her hit show “Glee,” Dianna and the rest of the series regulars have all signed on for the upcoming fourth season. Creator Ryan Murphy told press, "We had a meeting, and you know we've become like a family, and I said to them, 'Anybody who wants to stay on the show will stay on the show.' They're all coming back. Trayvon Martin Surveillance Video: 7-Eleven Cameras Show Teen Just Before Shooting

Surveillance video of some of Florida teen Trayvon Martin's final moments before being fatally shot by George Zimmerman have just surfaced online.

In his infamous hoodie, Martin can be seen in a video released by 7-Eleven, where he purchased Skittles and an iced tea before walking home Feb. 26.

He was shot by Zimmerman after an altercation on his way back to the home of his father's fiancé, where he was staying, triggering a media firestorm.

The video below doesn't change anything about the controversial case, as the shooting - which Zimmerman claims was self-defense - is obviously not shown.

Zimmerman has been charged with second-degree murder but remains free on bail. Martin's family yesterday criticized a series of leaks in the case.

Without video of the altercation itself, it remains to be seen who instigated what, and if the charge against the assailant will stand up in court.
