But now, months later, the presenter has felt it’s about time to open about whole sordid incident.

In a new interview with the News Of The World’s Fabulous magazine (which will be on sale this Sunday) Vernon insist that he and Tess have now put the sexty affair firmly behind them.

“When it all happened it was the first time that our personal lives were on the front pages” he says. “That was a real shock. But Tess and I dealt with it behind closed doors and we’ve managed to move on.”

“I now know not to take anything for granted. I think Tess does trust me, because if she didn’t then what we’ve talked about and what we did wouldn’t have worked. Tess is brilliant. She hasn’t surprised me at all because I always knew she was strong."

In fact things seem to be going so well between him and Tess that the couple are now even considering having another baby together. Vernon said:

“The gift of life is an amazing thing and I’d love another kid – boy or a girl – but we’ll just have to wait and see."

Earlier this week bandmembers Una Healy and Mollie King decided to take their disobedient pups to a training school to teach them some well-needed manners.

But we don’t know how successful all that training was, because it sounds as though Mollie’s puppies are as bouncy and perky as ever. Earlier today she tweeted:

“Just been on a lovely country walk! Poor Alf did a forward flip and has hurt his paw and started crying! Poor little fellow!”

But perhaps what’s even stranger is that by the end of the evening Peaches actually ended up heading home with a bit of a crush on the chatshow host. On Twitter she revealed:

“Jeremy was hugely different to his tv persona, but really sweet, well spoken, funny and kind of hot”

Actually come to think of it, that’s not that weird – after all she does go out with Eli Roth.

It’s not quite known why Peaches met up with Jezza last night, but it’s widely believed it’s got something to do with her new chatshow which we told you about a while ago, remember?

Well we don’t blame you if you don’t, the report was so far-fetched we scarcely believed it ourselves – but it seems as if we may have been wrong.

Apparently Peaches is fronting a Jeremy Kyle style chatshow where she chats to teens with problems, and according some inside sources the socialite was meeting up with Kyle himself last night for some inside advice and tips. Yeah, right – like there’s an actual skill to it!

But it seems as though their reunion in the BB house has been anything but joyous - just frustrating more like.

All day Nikki has been completing a task where she’s been Pete’s PA – which basically means she’s been made to do loads of really frustrating things such as juicing oranges and sharpening pencils. As you’ve probably already guessed this resulted in an inevitable massive tantrum from Nikki. Aw, just like the old times eh?

The former Spice Girl is visiting the capital for (among other things) London Fashion Week (which begins on the 17th) where she’s been nominated for the designer brand of the year award by the BFC which, unsurprisingly, she seems rather excited about.

It’s funny but we never took Posh for the kind of girl who would be so slap happy with exclamation marks, but hey looks like we were wrong…

Channel 4 have confirmed that a new housemate will enter the UBB pad this evening during tonight’s live eviction, where two housemates will be booted off the show.

The new, as yet unnamed, contestant will be a fully fledged member of the house which will mean they’ll also have the chance of winning the show when the final takes place next week. Any ideas as to who on earth it could be?

Like flies to s*** people were obviously very eager to see Katy do something utterly ridiculous and completely comical - unfortunately Katy’s marriage to Russell Brand isn’t scheduled for another month yet so they probably all went home feeling sorely disappointed…

Having realised her comments about the trial being an “inconvenience” didn’t go down too well with the press, Naomi has since shied away from public events.

But earlier today the supermodel decided to brave the judging eye of the media when she stepped out with her boyfriend for the Venice Film Festival – although considering all the backlash she received during her stint giving evidence it didn’t look like Naomi was too happy when the paparazzi started taking pictures of her. Too much of an inconvenience was it?

So she slipped on a pair of hotpants and tight green tank top, paired with some fetching green flip flops and off to the shops she went – and boy, did she look like a vision or what?!

Exactly – or what. Meanwhile, there’s no word yet as to what Kerry’s planning to do for her 30th (it’s on September 6th) but we’ve got a feeling it’ll probably include the following items; cigarettes, booze, a buffet from Iceland and possibly Peter Andre. Sounds divine…

A man called Robert Randolph, who’s about to publish a memoir about the world of Hollywood sex spas, called You'll Never Spa in This Town Again, claims that he’s seen Travolta (along with a whole host of other closeted Hollywood types) cruising for gay sex around LA for a number of years. He said:

"I met John in 1998, after he had married Kelly. I believe the marriage is a total fraud because John is totally into guys and has been having sex with them behind Kelly's back for years. He came on to me a number of times. I always turned him down. But there was always some guy who was willing to have sex with him. And John didn't stop cheating on Kelly after either of their children was born. John's a cheating dog. It's just been wrong, because his wife seems like such a sweet woman."

Robert – who’s apparently passed a lie detector test over the claims – also said that Travolta’s: “secret gay life is one of Hollywood's worst kept secrets. He blatantly cruises guys, and doesn't seem to care who sees him. I saw him with his lover and he couldn't get enough. John should come out of the closet already and stop living a lie. His wife Kelly deserves so much better."

Which celebrity will Randolph out next we wonder? *Rolls eyes at predictability of it all*

In her recent column for Closer magazine Kelly wrote:

“It’s going to be me, Carmen Electra, Mya and some of the other Dolls singing and dancing. I’m doing a song called 13 Men as well as Big Spender.

“It’s the first time I’ve really danced since filming Dancing With The Stars, but it’s so different. This isn’t stiff ballroom – it’s slinky and sexy.”

Yeah we’re really going to need to see a video of this and pronto!

So that’s why we weren’t at all surprised today to hear that Kels is hoping that she’ll be awarded an Oscar for her role in the critically acclaimed fantasy epic Piranha 3D.

The actress – who we spotted at the premiere of the flick in Paris last night – recently said:

'I'm on the cover of Playboy. Do you know who posed for Playboy? Kim Basinger, Oscar winner. Charlize Theron, Oscar winner. Kelly Brook...?'

Obviously it goes without saying that Kelly was just joking when she said this (she’s not that deluded – is she?); her plea came as part of a hilarious new Funny or Die video. But still, since starring in Piranha 3D Kelly has landed parts in a further two films, so who knows maybe her Oscar glory is yet to come?

Hahahahahahahaha – yeah of course we’re taking the piss.

Radio 1 listeners have been texting into Scott Mills’ show to suggest dares for Katy to do later this evening. Apparently she’ll spend an hour locked in a room with the presenter doing some of the dares – but before you go getting any ideas, she won’t be doing anything dirty. Shame. Scott said:

"I've interviewed Katy a few times and she's really good fun. I just love the idea that the listeners can text in and ask her to do whatever they want - obviously within reason - they need to keep it clean."
