Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin are heating up Chicago. That's right, the WINDY City!

The relationship made in MTV heaven, pairing up The City and The Buried Life stars, began earlier this year when they started "hanging out," and has gotten serious.

Nemtin recently helped Port celebrate her 25th birthday during an intimate bash at the Los Angeles restaurant Cecconi's. Things only got more romantic from there.

When Ben Nemtin needed to be in Chicago last week to film The Oprah Winfrey Show for an episode scheduled to air April 9, Whitney joined him in the Windy City.

Not that it was all business.

The new couple kicked back at the Chicago hotspot The Underground on Saturday night. In between sips of Patron, Port chatted up and planted kisses on her guy.

Also on hand? The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and fiancee Ed Swiderski chatting with club owner Billy Dec. But back to Port and Nemtin. Says a club source:

"They were definitely flirty and affectionate all night."

Whitney Port’s design career is taking off in stores, on the runway, and on MTV's The City. Looks like our girl's a rising star in the celebrity fashion world. Right?

Well, she's officially hit a snag in the form of a lawsuit just filed by designer Adrienne Baravetto, who claims she helped Whitney Port design and launch her line.

In 2007, Baravetto alleges she had an oral agreement with Port and her father, Jeff, including a $80,000 yearly salary plus a 25 percent stake in the company.

Baravetto also alleges that she did virtually all the design work and that the Ports haven’t paid her a dime. Pretty shady if so. But is this claim even legitimate?

Port’s lawyer Michael A. Taitelman said the following:

Did Whitney Port cut out a former design collaborator?

“The lawsuit that Adrienne Baravetto filed against Whitney Eve, Inc., Whitney Port and others regarding the Whitney Eve clothing line is baseless and without merit. Whitney Port is, and always has been, the designer of Whitney Eve."

"Baravetto worked for Whitney Eve for a short period of time ending in early 2008. For more than two years, she has been silent. For reasons that we will uncover, she has decided to make these unsubstantiated allegations at this time."

"The defendants will vigorously defend themselves, and upon the successful conclusion of this lawsuit, intend to hold Baravetto and her counsel accountable.”

Sounds confident. Counters Baravetto’s attorney Peter Maretz, “Ms. Baravetto did the heavy lifting for these designs and she just wants to get paid fairly.”

Living it up in the sunshine state, Whitney Port was spotted spending the day at the pool in Miami on Wednesday (March 10).

Sources say they are hanging out as more than friends, though, and Whitney Port certainly has been tweeting a lot about The Buried Life these days.

“I think it’s a personal thing,” Whitney, now star of The City, tells me. “They feel like it’s necessary and it’s going to make them feel more confident."

Although Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad don’t admit to enhancing their looks through surgery, that doesn't mean they don't make the best of their natural features.

Whitney says that among her go-to beauty products are Fresh Black Tea eye cream, and she also wears Trish McEvoy #3 perfume, Snowdrop and Crystal Flowers.

LC, who says her eyes look “round and boyish,” swears by Mark’s Get In Line liquid eyeliner. For scents, “I wear 15 different perfumes. Anything with a gardenia.”

Whitney Port: I think New York fashion is a lot more sophisticated, more forward-thinking. People are more willing to take chances here. People take more pride in clothing they wear and obviously they have to dress for the elements.

WWD: Do you ever see yourself venturing into accessories?

Whitney Port: I would it but I don't know how talented I'd be.

You're always worried about people not understanding your point of view, not being able to get it. But I think my biggest competition is myself.

After Olivia's royal f*%k up, Erin has it out with her and Joe, telling her boss it's either her or Olivia. Right before the credits roll, Joe picks ... no one! A whole season of a boring, repetitive story line and no resolution! Wow, MTV. Minus 36.

TOTAL: +3. SEASON TOTAL: +5. While we'll always love Whitney, The City failed to deliver a classic (or any) confrontation to salvage the Olivia-Erin "drama."

Thus, the episode and season barely end in positive territory. Not a total waste, but should there even be a Season 3? If so, will it decide what it wants to be?

Q: We watched you fall for and break up with Aussie musician Jay Lyon on The City. It can’t be much fun living out a relationship on camera.

Whitney Port: The most embarrassing moment of my TV career came when I found out from a friend that my boyfriend was cheating on me. Whoever you are and however it happens, that is a humbling, horrible moment, but when cameras are on you, waiting for your reaction, you just feel pathetic and totally naive. And you wonder, did the producers know he was cheating? It gets very difficult to know who to trust.

Q: Who do you trust?

Whitney Port: I trust my gut feeling and my oldest friends. Producers are a different matter – you never know when they are trying to get a rise out of you.

Q: Could you be the new Carrie Bradshaw?

Whitney Port: I love Sex and the City, but I’m more of a Charlotte! However much MTV would love it, I am not going to go on a different date every night.

Q: Who would be your dream date?

Whitney Port: Ryan Gosling. I don’t really have a type, but I have a big crush on him.

Q: You’re in London now with your sister Jade – how does your family feel about you living your life on camera?

Whitney Port: Jade has loved being here with me. I’m the middle of five children and my parents have always been careful to make us equal. They are very grounded, so they’d say something if they didn’t think I was being myself.

They’re always up for a good time, and last night (November 12) Lauren “Lo” Bosworth, Stephanie Pratt, and Whitney Port were spotted at the opening of the Undrest Pop Shop.

We thought it was a joke, but MTV just advertised a new show called Jersey Shore. The voiceover: "MTV is taking you inside a shore house like you've never seen, full of the hottest, tannest, craziest Guidos." Yes, Guidos. Ones who "keep their hair high, their muscles juiced, and their fists pumping." LOL. Plus 12.

Back to the program. Whitney and Roxy argue about last night unprofessionally at Mara Hoffman's show. Minus 7 (slightly redeemed by Kelly's profane tirade at them).

Whitney Port holds her own with the fashion designers at least. We think. Plus 5.

No Freddie Fackelmayer this week, it appears. Mixed feelings on that topic. Even.

Brooklyn Decker hosted an after-party they went to? They should have made the entire episode out of that. Minus 3 because of the generic filler chosen to air instead.

Back in NYC, Kelly berates Roxy and Whitney: 1. For their lack of professionalism; 2. For Roxy's comment that she isn't nice enough; 3. For their high room service bill: "You owe me $100. Next time go to Taco Bell." BURN! Plus 8.

TOTAL: +16. SEASON TOTAL: +9. The best episode so far pulls The City into positive territory for the first time this season. Seriously, someone had to call Roxy out, and at least the Erin-Olivia feud seems to be building toward an epic meltdown.

Erin Kaplan and Olivia Palermo are doing a feature on bloggers. Sure, they're fashion-oriented, not celebrity gossip-oriented, but nice industry shout-out! Plus 3.

Whitney, Roxy and Samantha Swetra roll to the Hamptons as "Good Girls Go Bad" plays. They talk about ... good girls going bad. Plus 3 for the Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester song, but Minus 3 for obviousness, so Even.

Olivia interviews some celebrity fashion bloggers and - here's a shocker - Erin doesn't think she does a good enough job. Seriously, the same plot every week? Minus 5.

Freddie Fackelmayer gets jealous when his 19-year-old brother Harry kind of flirts with Whitney. Lame, but we'll buy it, because Harry is much better looking. Plus 2.

Harry "lets it slip" (i.e. rats out) that Freddie has a girlfriend! Gasp, is it true? WTF! It's like The Bachelorette: Manhattan Blue-Blood Yuppie Family Edition. Minus 4.

Wow, Eric Zee finally lays the smackdown on Olivia! Plus 8.

Whitney: "Harry told me you have a girlfriend." Freddie: [pause] "But ... I don't know." Compelling response, you douche. Minus 3, but Plus 6 for Roxy chiming in, almost as an aside, that Harry was cock-blocking his older bro.

TOTAL: +8. SEASON TOTAL: -7. The City has picked up its game in recent weeks. We hate to admit it, but sometimes you need a complete putz like F-squared to stir up trouble. Sorta like The Bachelorette and Wes Hayden.

Stepping out for an evening of fashionable fun, Whitney Port was on hand for the Jimmy Choo for H&M Launch Party in Los Angeles on Monday (November 2).

We realize The City is as scripted as The Hills, and you need to dig up a nice fake boyfriend for Whitney Port to date and pretend to make things interesting.

Laughably obvious as this strategy is, it at least makes sense to a certain degree. Deciding on Freddie Fackelmayer as the guy to fill the role? Not so much!

First, as N.Y. Magazine puts it, the commercial real estate broker has glaringly white bleached caps that "elevate his fake tan to Oompa Loompa proportions."

LOL, because that's not even that big of a stretch.

Clad in baby blue and pink, he is "a modern-day Nantucket-dwelling Poseidon who just body surfed from New England to Manhattan on a wave of hair gel."

It's hard to even take Freddie Fackelmayer seriously.

One could overlook these superficial flaws if Freddie Fackelmayer made up for them by being at all interesting. But he may be the most boring individual ever.

Moreover, he elevated his second-date awkwardness on this week's The City by bringing along his father, Fridolin (?!) to dinner with Whit without telling her.

Always a winning strategy.

Even though it's her own fault for agreeing to fake-date Freddie, we still felt bad for Whitney Port after the snobby dad patronized the living $h!t out of her.

Maybe we're way off base, but somehow we doubt it. We need your opinion, ladies: Is Freddie Fackelmayer at all appealing, or as big a tool as we think?

This week on The City, Whitney Port went on another date with Freddie Fackelmayer, while Jay Lyon also wanted to know the status of their relationship.

In the opening moments, we learn that Whit basically booty-called Jay Lyon while he was back in town, then quit him for good. Hence the title. Plus 8.

Kelly says how she started her own company to promote things she believes in. Wow, now our interns are even less motivated to write this. Minus 2.

Olivia Palermo actually interacts with Roxy and Whitney this week! Amazing. It's almost as if she has a reason for being on the show. Almost. Plus 4.

Freddie Fackelmayer invites his father, Fridolin, out to dinner with Whitney. Minus 2 for Fred's faux pas, and Minus 1 more because Fridolin was so awk.

It takes Roxy Olin 12 seconds to realize Olivia is bad at her job and painful in general. She's perceptive, but Minus 1 because we still had to tolerate Olivia.

This is off-topic, but Roxy was on Brothers & Sisters this week and wasn't terrible. The fact that her parents are both on that show helps, but still, Plus 5.

Could MTV have set Whitney up with a lamer guy? Dude fake tans, bleaches his teeth, spends way too lonf on his hair and is not even interesting! Minus 10.

Samantha Swetra and Whitney debate if a dude can be a socialite. We don't know the answer, but if so, Whitney's fake boyfriend is so the epitome. Plus 2.

How long until Erin Kaplan goes postal on Olivia? Plus only 2, because they're dragging it out and she's too passive-aggressive, not aggressive-aggressive.

We never thought we'd say it, but we missed Jay Lyon. He's not without fault, but at least the guy has personality. Too bad this was just a cameo. Minus 3.

TOTAL: +2. SEASON TOTAL: -15. Scores were boosted by Olivia's integration into the rest of the show and the remergence of Jay and romantic tension.

It's got a long way to go, but positive steps, City. Positive steps.
