Some of the more serious, slanderous allegations made over Brad and Angelina's love life in recent weeks have actually resulted in a lawsuit by the hot couple.

In news about them that's actually true, Angelina Jolie is awesome. She's visiting Haiti and donating obscene sums of money to their earthquake relief efforts.

Bravo, Angie.

Recent rumors of their demise have gotten so out of control that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are suing a London tabloid for claiming they are planning to split.

The couple's lawyer, Keith Schillings, tells BBC News that Pitt and Jolie have begun legal proceedings against the always-reputable News of The World tabloid.

On January 24, that publication said the two had agreed to divide their assets and made arrangements for the custody of their six kids. This is not the case.

Schillings tells the BBC that the report contained "false and intrusive allegations" and the paper failed to meet a demand for a retraction and apology for it.

Schillings says Sorrell Trope, an L.A. divorce lawyer identified by some publications as advising the two, denied that he had been in contact with the couple.

Brangelina is not dividing up assets or Maddox anytime soon.

"I have had no contact from... Angelina Jolie and/or Brad Pitt," Trope said in a statement. "I have never met... your clients or had any involvement with them. The foregoing is true with respect to all other members of this firm."

Basically, for a lawsuit to have merit, the plaintiff must prove it was deliberately defamed by false reporting, rather than the publication screwing up or being mistaken.

It certainly looks like that was the case here, as evidenced by Trope's denial. A spokesperson for the News Of The World has yet to comment on the story or lawsuit.

Pitt and Jolie, who are not married, nonetheless appear wholly committed to their relationship and each other, as their Super Bowl PDA in Miami on Sunday showed.

They took their eldest son, Maddox (pictured), to the big game. Surprisingly, there was no sign of Jennifer Aniston, who Brad is still in love with, according to OK!

Despite being taken to task, In Touch stands by its story, semantics aside, saying a source verified that Kowalski worked at the Waldorf last summer.

"We never claim Anna was a current employee of the hotel or provide the specific name of her coach, of which there were several," an In Touch rep said.

Regularly popping up in split rumors, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have once again found themselves the subjects of separation talks.

According the British tabloid News of the World, the unmarried partners are drawing an end to their relationship - as they allegedly took legal steps to split assets and custody of their six children.

The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” costars donated a cool $1 million to the Doctors Without Borders’ emergency medical operations in the earthquake-torn nation.

If only all celebrities were like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

They're gorgeous, they're talented, they provide us with endless, hilarious tabloid fodder - and they're as charitable as it gets.

The most recent example of their giving nature: the couple has contributed $1 million to emergency medical operations in Haiti, as that nation deals with thousands of deaths and incomprehensible damage in the wake of a 7.0-magnitude earthquake.

"It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades," said Jolie, while her partner added:

"We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care."

Specifically, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation is donating the funds to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres, whose three hospitals in Port-au-Prince were severely damaged.

We hope other stars are paying close attention.

Always doing their best to help out those in need, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are pledging their support to the many victims of a giant earthquake rocking the island of Haiti on Tuesday (January 12).

The Hollywood power couple released a statement reading: “We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”

Man oh man, Angelina Jolie has really flown off the handle at Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston this time. The previous seven weeks had nothing on this meltdown!

Who would have guessed Angie would be so upset, given that she herself was cheating on Brad last week. At least that's what we read in the tabloids.

The “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-star couple each tended to a few of the little ones as they unloaded the family van and headed to a performance of “Mary Poppins” on Broadway.

Enjoying a boys-only outing, Brad Pitt stepped out with sons Maddox and Pax for a fun-filled evening in New York City on Wednesday (December 30).

Making for quite the adorable sighting, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted out with their children, Shiloh and Zahara, as they left the set of “Salt” in Manhattan on Tuesday evening (December 29).

The “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-star couple both seemed to be in cheerful moods, with Angelina toting Zahara while Brad tended to little Shiloh.

Despite settling down with Brad Pitt for the past four years, Angelina Jolie (supposedly) says she doesn't think monogamy is required for a healthy relationship.

"I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship," Germany's Das Neue magazine quotes the outspoken, possibly unstable mother of six as saying.

"It's worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards."

The 34-year-old, who often denied sleeping with Pitt when he was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston, said this freedom applies to all aspects of their lives.

"Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together," Angelina added. "We make sure that we never restrict each other."

However ...

Real or imagined, these two have quite the relationship.

Just because she gives Brad a bit of leeway in the relationship department doesn't mean Angelina won't stand her ground. And oh, can things get violent!

"The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he's wrong and reacts in a defiant way," she said. "Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt."

So basically, he can do what he wants ... unless she determines that he's wrong and he won't admit it, at which point his ass is going to get whomped.

Sounds like most relationships, actually.

The “Babel” stud and his “Changeling” lady have been supporters of SOS charity- which has 500 “villages” in 132 countries - for several years.

They sure seem to have it together, but in a recent interview, Angelina Jolie revealed a few interesting facts about her relationship with Brad Pitt.

The “Changeling” star opened up to Das Neue, a German women’s magazine, telling, “Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

Angelina Jolie is totally planning a "revenge pregnancy." We have no idea what that means, but In Touch Weekly reported it, so we're pretty sure it's legit.

We take this to mean that she's gotten over her recent suicide attempt and is ready to get down to the business of procreating ... and trapping Brad Pitt!

After all, if we are to believe this In Touch story, Brad and Jennifer Aniston just had their most “heartfelt” meeting ever ... if you know what they mean.

We're not even sure they know what they mean, actually, but Angelina feels she must take drastic action to keep him. That entails ... pulling the goalie?

It remains to be seen how far jealous Angie will go to perpetuate this hilarious, made-up soap opera expand her brood. But she's yearning for baby #7.

She'd just better hope Jen doesn't get knocked up first ...
