Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein Doc to Air on MTV

With the entertainment world still feeling the effects of his death, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s documentary series “Gone Too Far” is set to premiere on MTV on October 12th.

The Goldstein family released a statement, saying, “Adam felt strongly that by doing this series he could help other addicts who were at a crisis point to get sober.  Adam was fully aware that if it were not for his own sobriety he never would have achieved the level of success and happiness he had found. Helping people in their recovery was a huge part of Adam’s life. It is our hope through airing this show that people will get to see the side of Adam that we knew and loved, not just the celebrity DJ, but the honest and caring person who gave so much of himself to help others.”

Tragically passing away over the summer, coroner’s have ruled that Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s death was an accident.

The New York Medical Examiner told Us magazine that Goldstein passed due to substance abuse leading to “acute intoxication”.

With family and friends gathered around, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was laid to rest during a private ceremony in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (September 2).

Taking place just after 3PM PST, mourners including girlfriend Hayley Wood, ex-fiance Nicole Richie and good pal Travis Barker comforted one another over the loss of their loved one at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary.

DJ AM To Be Buried Today

Following his sudden death last Friday (August 28), Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s funeral is taking place later today (September 2).

E! Online is reporting that Adam will be buried at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, where close family members of the celebrity deejay are reportedly holding a private service inside the mortuary before moving outside for the burial.

Police continue to probe the death of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s death, and now there is speculation that he may have taken his own life.

According to a report, Goldstein ingested eight OxyContin pills, with a ninth in his mouth at the time of his death.  An inside source told press, “He wanted to die.  He was going unconscious when he took the last one.  He didn’t even swallow it.”

As police continue to look into the details surrounding Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s death, it seems the late entertainer reverted back to his past drug using ways in the last hours of his life.

According to a report, Goldstein had sent a text message to two friends at 1am on Friday, August 28th concerning a gig in Las Vegas later that day that he would never make it to.

The Associated Press is reporting that a crack pipe and prescription pills –including Xanax - were found in the DJ’s New York City apartment.

Coming as quite the saddening shock to the celebrity world, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found dead in a Manhattan apartment on Friday evening (August 28).

The 36-year-old’s passing comes nearly a year after he survived a small-plane crash which killed four passengers, while DJ AM and drummer Travis Barker were the lone survivors.

Still building up his stamina following a near-fatal plane crash, the celebrity deejay looked a bit worn out as he made his way inside the Los Angeles hotspot, looking cool and casual in a black button-up, jeans, and Nike sneakers.
