Taking care of some overseas promotion, Kate Winslet was in attendance for a Lancome Press Conference in Beijing, China yesterday (July 12).
The “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” actress looked lovely in a leggy black dress as she posed for pictures and chatted with members of the press.
The previous day, Miss Winslet took part in another Lancome event in the Chinese locale during which she turned up in a Ralph Lauren frock topped off with a Sergio Rossi bag and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

She shared, "What I've learned about acting is that it needs to be mysterious. If you over think how a beat needs to be played, it can trip you up. Because you're trying to do something that is real and sincere in the moment, so that people believe you. Simon Cowell really is pulling out all the stops for X Factor USA isn’t he? The makers of the show have just put together this slick (and very, very dramatic) advert to promote the programme, which kicks off in September.
We like the fact that this promo doesn’t make the show out to be something original; just a bigger, more flamboyant and showier version of what everybody’s already seen.

He’s been busy promoting “Captain America: The First Avenger,” and last night (July 12) Chris Evans was spotted at “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
The hunky actor looked handsome in a form-fitting button-up shirt, showing off his killer physique while Fallon showed an embarrassing picture from Chris’ past.
During the course of the interview, Jimmy also posed a fun dare to Evans. He declared, “I’d like to say that I beat Captain America at something, so I’d like to challenge you, if it’s alright, to a game of beer pong.”
Chris replied, “Game on, my friend.” Jimmy asked, “Have you ever played beer pong,” to which Evans chuckled, “Are you kidding me? I’m from Boston!”
However, Chris’ enthusiasm ended up being ill-founded- he lost to Jimmy 2-1 when all was said and done.

Demi says she was never suicidal, but times grew "really dark."
Lovato recorded "Skyscraper" soon before entering rehab. She says of the experience:
“I just sat there and I just cried my eyes out, I was almost doubled over with emotion... it was crazy. I tried to re-record it but, it didn’t have that same emotion and that same almost cry for help that I had when I first recorded it.”
Nicki Minaj says she was struck in the face by a male acquaintance yesterday. But the artist does not want to press any charges. Here's what went down:
Minaj and an unidentified man were allegedly arguing poolside at the Palomar Hotel in Dallas. As the verbal sparring intensified, the man left for his hotel room, the singer told an employee to call the cops and then she followed the man back inside.
Once there, she says he hit her in the lower lip.
When the police arrived, Minaj explained what happened but said she did not want to press charges. She added that the opponent was not her boyfriend.
Nicki faced a very different kind of tragedy earlier this month: her cousin was murdered.
Bruce Beresford-Redman, the former TV producer accused of killing his wife outside a resort in Cancun, has been ordered back to Quintana Roo, Mexico to stand trial on charges of aggravated homicide.
The incident took place in November, when the body of Bruce's wife, Monica, washed up in a sewer system near the hotel where she had been staying with her family. The cause of death was asphyxiation.
Bruce's attorneys claimed the police were too quick to charge their client and lacked any physical evidence.
But United States prosecutors say fellow guests heard screams emanating from the couple's room and that detectives subsequent discovered blood spatter in the bathroom and in other areas of the room.

Catherine Kieu Becker, a 48-year old woman California resident, has been arrested after she admitted to slicing off her husband's penis and tossing it into the garbage disposal.
According to police reports, the couple is in the middle of a divorce. Becker laced her unidentified husband's food with some kind of drug, knocked him out, tied him to the bedpost and took a blade to his manhood. She eventually called 911 and cops arrived on the scene to find the man "bleeding profusely."
Becker was arrested on several charges, including aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment and assault with a deadly weapon. Her husband is in stable condition.
Lt. Jeff Nightengale said no motive has been determined, but we're gonna go out on a crazy limb and say the man was cheating on Becker, who told authorities her husband "deserved" to lose his genitalia.
Despite the extensive history of substance use and abuse by both Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller, the custody settlement between this former couple does NOT require either side submit to periodic drug testing.
Sadly, due to the habits of their parents, two young kids are LOSING these days.
The issue has been raised this week after Mueller was spotted with what appeared to be a crack pipe in her hand. She's the primary caregiver for young twins Bob and Max and has attempted to get clean via rehab on over a dozen occasions.

Will there be a 51st state called South California? No, there will not. But 13 mostly conservative counties there are floating the idea to make a point.
One official, local Republican Jeff Stone, has asked fellow members of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors to support a motion to do just that.
He wants to bring together officials from the 13 counties to discuss the idea.
Stone said California is too big to govern, a situation that has led the Golden State to raid local government coffers because of runaway spending.
He knows it will be a challenge to create another state but doesn't believe impossible. "We are sending a message," Stone told the L.A. Times.
That message is that it may be a giant waste of everyone's time at the taxpayers' expense, but it can still generate widespread media attention.
Even if the 13 counties were serious, the U.S. Constitution says no state can be formed without consent of Congress and the state Legislature.

Last week the Transformers star posted a series of pictures of herself on Facebook pulling funny faces in order to prove that she hadn’t had the Hollywood elixir injected into her chops, now a series of sarcastic sounding doctors in the US have stepped forward to say that Megan must’ve faked them.
"Looks like Megan is just as talented with Photoshop as she is in entertainment” said sarky plastic surgeon number one. "Those lines on her forehead are totally fake. …Muscles in the forehead and brow simply don't create curved wrinkles like that. The wrinkles Megan is showing us don't coincide with brow anatomy, nor do they match the facial expression she is making."
Sarky plastic surgeon number two chipped in saying:
"I have never seen the frontalis (forehead) muscle do this unless the muscle was surgically cut. It appears as if she is frowning and elevating her brow at the same time. Quite a feat!"

Bicep Curls
Standing with your feet shoulder width apart and your back straight, curl your arms up while lifting one leg up at the same time, alternating with 10 reps for each side to challenge stability and strengthen your core.
Tricep with Glute Extension
Standing with your feet shoulder width apart and back erect as always, pull your arms into a row, keep knees softly bent, hinge your top half over and straighten arms in and out, keeping elbows pointed and all the weight in your heels. Challenge yourself further by extending one leg out, toe pointed, lifting and lowering your leg as you do the tricep extension.
Deltoids with Calf Raise
Keeping your posture upright and your feet shoulder width apart, bend arms at a 90 degree angle while laterally lifting them up and to the side and popping up onto your toes for extra calf stability and balance.
***Just keep up these three exercises two to three times a week with 25 reps and two to five pound hand weights to get your body ready for its sexiest summer yet!

Fully opening up about everything from his highly criticized hosting of the Oscars to gay rapist rumors, James Franco reveals all in his recent interview with Playboy magazine.
The "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" actor says that, while his hosting efforts weren't perceived as the best, it wasn't all his fault, as he told the mag, "For three or four weeks we shot the promos and the little film that played in the opening. In the last week, when we really started focusing on the script for the live show and did a run-through, I said to the producer, 'I don't know why you hired me, because you haven't given me anything. I just don't think this stuff's going to be good.'"
James also pointed out his demeanor during the show - noting that he was simply responding to the overly-perky attitude of co-host Anne Hathaway the only way he knew how, as he explained, “As far as having low energy or seeming as though I wasn’t into it or was too cool for it, I thought, ‘Okay, Anne is going the enthusiastic route,’ I’ve been trained as an actor to respond to circumstances, to the people I’m working with, and not force anything. So I thought I would be the straight man and she could be the other, and that’s how I was trying to do those lines. I felt kind of trapped in that material. I felt, ‘This is not my boat.’ I’m just a passenger, but I’m going down and there’s no way out.”
As for addressing a far more serious rumor - the 2008 New York Post blind item that claimed Franco was a rapist - the 33-year-old held steadfast on his innocence, telling, "My lawyer called them [websites reporting on the claim] and said that it was completely untrue and to take it down. They said, ‘Well, we’re just reporting what the New York Post told us. If James wants to make a comment on our blog, we’re happy to report it.’ It was a choice. Either let this thing build and become bigger and bigger, or just let it go and let them be the petty scumbags that they are."

Good old Sinitta just can’t keep her trap shut about matters that don’t concern her, can she? On this occasion we’re so glad she did as the lack of official word around the possible Cheryl/Ashley reunion is really starting to annoy us.
Anyway, we digress – Sinitta has blabbed to Star magazine (out now) about Cheryl and Ashley, confirming that the singer has indeed taken the footballer back. She said:
“They obviously love each other so much and to have gone through what they have gone through and to be back together just shows that true love conquers all.”
Yeah, it’s a regular storyline from a romance novel is what it is. She added:
“They both know who each other are and both know what they’re getting into. You have to be with the person you love, like that Kylie song Better The Devil You Know.”
To be honest, we haven’t got a clue why Katie Price felt the need to Tweet a picture of her super skinny torso to over a million of her Twitter followers on Sunday night, but she did and even though she’s since pulled it down we thought we’d share it with you anyway.
Earlier in the day Katie had been filling in her followers on what she’d eaten - “My juice today for breakfast was pineapple, apples ginger, banana, ginger, orange, mango, natural yoghurt, manuka honey! for lunch roast dinner haha”, she Tweeted – and when one follower told her she didn’t need to diet Katie replied by posting a picture of her tum along with the message:
“Nooo I'm not on diet just trying to be heathly (sic) with good foods and carbs bloat me out.”
Okay, but that doesn’t really explain the picture, does it? Or are we missing something?
Jokes (aren’t we totes hilar?), nah obvs it’s Lady GaGa’s - as if you couldn’t tell by the personalised number plate and the spray paint pictures of her (and if you really couldn’t. then you probably need to invest in a decent pair of glasses).
GaGa hopped into this car, which looked like it had been Pimped, while in Sydney yesterday. Was she going anywhere special? Nope, just to a bikram yoga class – you know, as one does in an all-in-one red jumpsuit, platform hooves and a garish car.
Danielle Lloyd has still got a couple of months to go until she gives birth to her second baby, but that hasn’t stopped the former glamour model from thinking about how she’s going to get into shape in time for her wedding next year.
After recreating the famous ‘Demi’ pose in the latest issues of Closer magazine, Danielle admitted that while she feels sexy at the moment she can’t wait to ditch her baby weight:
“I'll get a trainer and go to the gym at least three times a week once the baby arrives. I've basically been pregnant for the past two years, so I can't wait to get my body back.”
She added, “I'd like to be nine stone and a size eight before my wedding. If worst comes to worst, I'll consider lipo!”
And that’s not the only surgery she’s thinking of having, “My boobs get so big during pregnancy, I've got stretch marks and saggy skin. I want that removed and then a lift,” she said and “I'd also like a chemical peel to even out my skin due to pregnancy pigmentation.”

Bar employees may have claimed Hines Ward looked nice and sober late Friday night, but looks can be deceiving.
Police have released their findings of the traffic stop that took place in Georgia, with officers saying they detected a "strong odor" of alcohol on the Pittsburgh wide receiver when he opened the door. Ward subsequently blew a .128 on the field sobriety test before being taken into custody.
The legal limit is .08.
Ward told the cops he had only drank two Coronas on the evening and was not impaired.
But the arresting officer says the DWTS victor had a difficult time keeping his balance during a "walk and turn evaluation" and also had trouble following his finger. For a guy who follows multiple passing routes on Sunday afternoons, that's never a good sign.
