When Charlie Sheen is spewing nonsense about warlocks and winning, it's easy to laugh along with the unemployed actor. But then it's also important to remember:

He's been accused of, and arrested for, multiple assaults against women. This is a shady individual whose issues go far beyond whatever he puts in his own body and whatever words he uses against Chuck Lorre.

Denise Richards is constantly aware of this fact, however, which is why sources say the actress has increased security around her and her daughters. She's taken such a step in light of Sheen's recent, hate-filled Tweet that labeled her a "traitor" and a "dog killer."

"Denise and her girls live a simple life," an insider tells Pop Eater. "She wants Sam and Lola to have normal lives, but after the recent threats and verbal attacks, she has increased her security. When you are dealing with a mad man, it's better to be safe than sorry."

While the public is first getting a look at the dangerous side of Sheen, it's one with which Richards has been unfortunately aware for years. Says the source:

"If Charlie is willing to put those evil tweets out in public, you can only imagine what he has called Denise in private... Denise is no longer angry - she's scared."

Does anyone blame her?

Kourtney Kardashian made her soap opera debut this week.

Not her acting debut, mind you, because let's face: she reads from a script every week on various E! reality shows.

But Kourtney appeared on One Life to Live yesterday, playing a personal injury attorney (HA!) named Kassandra Kavanaugh (get it?!? Double Ks!) who got arrested with David Fumero's Cristian Vega because they each punched the same dude at the gym.

With Britney Spears making her return to the spotlight today, ex-husband Kevin Federline has also found himself back in the news.

Sources tell E! Online that K-Fed's long-term girlfriend, Victoria Prince, is pregnant with the couple's first baby. She's about five months along and the pair is "totally happy" about it, an insider claims.

Despite appearances, Victoria Prince - NOT Kevin Federline - is the one reportedly expecting.

If true, this child will be Federline's fifth overall. He has two with Shar Jackson and two sons, Sean and Jaden, with Britney. Most of that clan actually united two weeks ago for a Little League game.

Without coming out and directly challenging his network for allowing Chris Brown to perform tonight on Dancing with the Stars, host Tom Bergeron has made his feelings clear.

“I did tell the producers it may be to their advantage to not have me interview him because my natural tendency would be to say something,” Bergeron told Ryan Seacrest on the latter's radio show “Don’t put me in a position where you are asking me to not say something, because I really won’t do that.”

Bergeron joked that he may be placed in "a Hannibal Lecter suit" in order to keep him quiet, but the promotion of Brown by ABC is no laughing matter to many.

It's hard not to wonder why the network banned Adam Lambert from its airways in late 2009, yet is embracing a man with such an emotional, violent side. The answer, though, is clearly all about the bottom line:

ABC is hoping to arrange a ratings-grabber of an interview with both Brown and Rihanna.

Beyonce has severed ties with her father. On a strictly professional basis, that is.

Matthew Knowles will no longer manage his daughter's career, a move Beyonce explained via the following statement:

"I've only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps."

Matthew, who helped launch Destiny's Child with his daughter at the center, acknowledges the split was mutual and says his focus is now on "Music World Entertainment's growing gospel and inspirational music division."

Beyonce will release a new album later this year.

Mila Kunis has joined Darren Aronofsky in the corner of Natalie Portman.

In response to accusations that the Oscar winner scarcely took part in any of the choreography depicted in the movie, Kunis tells Entertainment Weekly: “Natalie danced her ass off. I think it’s unfortunate that this is coming out and taking attention away from [the praise] Natalie deserved and got.”

It's also coming out the week Black Swan comes to DVD, which, ironically, will likely drive interest in the film.

Kunis adds that she and Portman have been open about the help they received from experienced dancers such as Sarah Lane, who has accused filmmakers of covering up her role.

"She did do every ounce of every one of her dances,” Kunis says of her co-star. “[Lane] wasn’t used for everything. It was more like a safety net. If Nat wasn’t able to do something, you’d have a safety net. The same thing that I had - I had a double as a safety net. We all did. No one ever denied it.”

Following last night's Dancing with the Stars performance show, Carrie Ann Inaba is loving her some Chris Jericho.

Hines Ward, meanwhile, is teaching his partner some new lingo and coming through with a solid version of the Quickstep.

But did Romeo deliver the best routine of week two? Yes, according to Len Goodman. The actor/rapper joined Jericho and Ward in earning 23 points for his latest attempt. He has garnered 42 to date and will likely be around for awhile.

Simply put, Carrie Ann Inaba said last night: "I'm loving me some Chris Jericho right now."

The Dancing with the Stars judge was reacting to the WWE wrestler's version of the Quickstep, as Jericho and Cheryl Burke were one of three pairings to garner 23 points on week two.

With a total of 42 after two routines, there's a very good chance Chris and Cheryl will return to shake, grind and move some more next Monday. Think they deserve to do so? Check out their performance below:

Prior to performing for fans and judges on last night's Dancing with the Stars, Hines Ward taught partner Kym Johnson some slang. Did it result in what she might now refer to as a "tight" performance? Yes, according to Carrie Ann, who raved: "That was amazing. I loved it."

The violent side of Jenelle Evans wasn't the only reason this Teen Mom 2 star gave a vicious beatdown to Britany Truett last week. She was also pushed into her enemy. Literally.

Now, Brittany Maggard, the girl who gave Jenelle the shove that propelled her toward Truett, has spoken out about her motivation behind the incident. Give her credit for honest, at least.

"Jenelle wanted to go and fight Britany because of something with her man," Maggard tells TMZ. "She was scared and wouldn't go fight by herself so I went to help her out."

Fights with her mom are suddenly the least of Jenelle Evans' worries.

Added Maggard, who has been arrested along with Evans and Truett: "I instigated it, but what the hell are we supposed to do? I wanted to see them fight!

"I'm pissed, though, because I went down to help her out, we both ended up in jail, she got bailed out before me and when I called her to get me out, she didn't come."

The nerve of some people. Some majorly troubled, in-need-of-assistance, by-no-means-worthy-of-the-fame/money-that-accompanies-a-reality-show people. 

Natalie Portman has been accused of contributing to a cover-up involving her participating in Black Swan.

Sarah Lane, the classically-trained dancer who served as Portman's double in this Oscar-winning film, says she appeared in 95 percent of the full body shots throughout the movie, creating an uproar that director Darren Aronofsky is out to quell.

In a statement he released to Fox Searchlight, Aronofsky comes to his star's specific defense, writing:

"Here is the reality. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that's 80% Natalie Portman... Even so, if we were judging by time, over 90% would be Natalie Portman."

In the end, the director is seeking to put an end to any controversy, concluding: "Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance."

Here's the situation: Italians are far from pleased that Jersey Shore cast members have invaded their country.

The show didn't even start filming in the region until today, but the backlash against Snooki and company has been severe across various publications, with one reader of the MTV Italia website going disturbingly far and writing:

"When I see this, I wonder whether Osama Bin Laden had a point."

Whoa there. Not even Sammi is that annoying.

Verbal grenades are being launched in the direction of JWOWW and Snooki.

In the Rome newspaper New Notzie, meanwhile, columnist Roberto Del Bov wrote of Pauly D and his housemates: "They embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized."

The country's most widely read publication, Corriere della Sera, went on to describe the reality stars as a group with "slicked hair, exaggerated narcissism, boundless love for the family and outlandish eccentricity."

Exactly! Don't worry, Italy, you'll grow to love these people. So much so, we hope you never send them back.
