Bruce Beresford-Redman may never be a free man again.

The former TV producer and suspected murderer has been denied bail by Los Angeles District Court Judge Susan Segal, who said in court today "I do not believe he can be awarded with bail for the allegations which he has been alleged... Mr. Redman presents a risk of flight.”

Beresford-Redman was taken into custody on November 16 and charged with the brutal killing of wife Monica Beresford-Redman. Her body was found in a Cancun sewer on April 8.

Bruce's parents were present in court this afternoon to show support for their son, who arrived in handcuffs and often smiled back at his relatives throughout the hearing.

JAMES Franco and Anne Hathaway will take to the stage to co-host the 83rd Academy Awards next year.

Demi Lovato had hoped to spend Thanksgiving with her family.

Unfortunately, the troubled singer was stuck in an Illinois treatment facility all weekend, receiving help for a number of physical and emotional issues.

She joins older siblings Miller Alasdhair James, 5, Bailey Linda Olwyn, 4, and Beckett Robert Lee, 3, all born in London. Congrats to the growing family!

Sarah Palin is not a fan of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity efforts.

Of the First Lady, Palin told Ingraham that "I think she has got a different worldview and she is not hesitant at all to share what her worldview is."

As for Sarah Palin's worldview, no one can make sense of it, but she does use big words like "exceptionalism" in the rant against Michelle below:

"She encapsulated what her view of America is, I believe, unless she has evolved and things have changed in the last two years, but she said it on the campaign trail twice that it was the first time that she had been proud of her country when finally people were paying attention to Barack Obama."

"I think that's appalling. We can think of this infinite number of reasons to be proud of American exceptionalism and it baffles me that anybody would have that view and then allow that view to bleed over into policy."

"Take her anti-obesity thing that she is on. She is on this kick, right. What she is telling us is she cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families in what we should eat."

The third season of Jersey Shore hasn't even aired on MTV yet (it premieres January 6) and the cast is already angling for a fourth - and beyond.

MTV has discussed going the spinoff-only route - with Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation and discarding the rest - but we'll see if there's a new season too.

We're all for any celebrity using his/her fame to raise funds. But wouldn't this be a more effective campaign if the population could donate money to keep Kim off Twitter and Facebook?

On last night's edition of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes inched very close to a divorce. Her castmate, meanwhile, has gone in the opposite direction.

Sources close to Kim Zolciak tell Radar Online this reality star is engaged to NFL lineman Kroy Biermann. Last week, the pair revealed its expecting a child in a few months.

Kroy Biermann's 2010 stats: 28 tackles, one sack and one fiancee.

"They are both really happy about both the baby and their engagement and cannot wait to start their new lives together," an insider said. “Kroy proposed to her and bought her a substantial ring, which she has shown to a few friends, although she is not wearing it in public yet."

Kim and Kroy are in negotiations for a spin-off show, Kendra and Hank Baskett-style.

If the spin-off doesn't go down, friends say Kim wants some leverage with Bravo when discussing a new Real Housewives of Atlanta contract, something an impending wedding and baby would provide. Yes, she's using these major life milestones as negotiating tactics.

“The other cast members are publicly backing Kim and Kroy, but privately there are some jealousies because Kim is very much in the spotlight right now and not everyone is happy about that," concluded the source.

On the heels of Leslie Nielsen's death comes another sad passing in the Hollywood community. Irvin Kershner, director The Empire Strikes Back, has died.

He was 87. The director was in his 50s when he was tapped to head the Star Wars sequel. Kershner was a teacher at USC; George Lucas was a student.

The 1980 film was by far the best of the entire series, paving the way for Return of the Jedi and decades later, an entire prequel trilogy that Lucas ruined.

R.I.P. Irvin Kirshner (1923-2010).

While the critically acclaimed, massively successful Empire Strikes Back is certainly the film for which Kershner is best remembered, his credits don't stop there.

He's also known for helming 1983's James Bond film Never Say Never Again, which saw Sean Connery return to the role of 007, Robocop II and other movies.

He did some acting in his day as well, beginning with Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ. He was actively working in photography until his death.

May he rest in peace.

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia's second son made his debut in New York City this weekend. Alexander is officially "out." Get it??? Crickets.

"Delighted to announce that over the wknd we welcomed 8 lb 13 oz Alexander David Conrod into our home!" Garcia, 45, wrote on her Twitter.

With more than 7 million followers under her belt, we think it’s fair to say Lady GaGa is the queen of Twitter. So when we heard the Poker Face hitmaker was planning to boycott the social networking site we were flabbergasted!

But it turns out there’s a very good reason why GaGa has decided to temporarily stop Tweeting.

Lady G and a whole host of other celebrities including, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson, have all agreed to resist the temptation to Tweet on 1st December until $1 million is raised for the Aids charity Keep A Child Alive.

Last week Peter Andre was rushed to hospital after suffering from excruciating stomach pains, which were so bad he had to undergo emergency surgery.

As a result, the singer was forced to postpone the first night of his arena tour, which was scheduled to take place in Plymouth on Friday night and Saturday night’s show at Butlins was moved to Sunday after doctors told him to rest for 48 hours.

But it looks like he may have gone back to work a little bit too soon as Pete – pictured wowing the crowds in Minehead last night – has now been told be doctors that he should rest for a further 24 hours and as result he has been forced to postpone tomorrow nights gig in Ipswich Regent, until 9th December.

Oh dear, it’s all getting a little bit complicated with all these date changes isn’t it? Get well soon Pete!

Katie Waissel’s exit from X Factor has been a long time coming and despite previous on stage meltdowns she actually took the news rather well when Dermot announced she’d received the fewest public votes last night.

And afterwards, when she was on The Xtra Factor and when Konnie Huq asked if she would change anything about her experience she said:

“I wouldn’t have done anything different to be honest. Everything happens for a reason. We trust our gut instincts and go with our heart and our head. I wouldn’t change anything for the world.”

Really? Nothing? Not even the granny porn bit?

Meanwhile, we got up with Katie spending some quality time with her mum this afternoon. First she visited her mummy’s shop and then the mother and daughter duo popped to Pizza Express for a bite to eat.

Doesn’t everybody know that a camera flash makes sheer black material appear see-through? Clearly not and Michelle Keegan learned the hard way when she attended the annual Manchester United & UNICEF gala dinner in Manchester last night.

The Coronation Street actress was sporting a full-length black gown, which looked lovely, but when she turned around we couldn’t help but notice she was wearing a white pair of knickers and a white bra, rookie mistake.

Meanwhile we also spotted footballers Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Michael Owen and Ryan Giggs to name but a few (they’re the only ones we recognise, we don't do football).

We wouldn’t be surprised if Justin Bieber fans were making voodoo dolls of Cheryl Cole this morning after the chosen one made a move on the X Factor judge during last night’s live show.

After singing badly miming a medley of his hits including Baby and Somebody to Love, Bieber - pictured arriving at the studios in North London - said, “I want to say hello to Cheryl Cole” and she then blushed as he gave her the call me signal.

After the show he Tweeted, “Cheryl you looked lovely as usual,” before adding, “X Factor we had fun. Simon told me he listens to my CD every night before he goes to bed” – That sounds believable.

It has been reported that Naked Gun 33 ½ star Leslie Nielsen has died in hospital in Florida with his friends and family by his side.

The Airplane! actor’s nephew, Doug Nielsen confirmed his uncle had been in hospital for the past 12 days battling pneumonia. Sad times.
