Nevertheless, that's the rumor going around. Now, after days of mudslinging and trading accusations, the two sides are apparently willing to attempt a truce.

Her attorney Stephanie Ovadia said that "Hailey Glassman, Jon, myself and (Jon’s lawyer Mark Heller) decided to privately sit down and discuss the matter." 

"We are going to discuss a resolution.”

Hailey Glassman has accused Jon of pushing her against a wall. Jon accuses her of ransacking his NYC pad. Both claims are being investigated by the NYPD.

Jon has said he returned to his New York apartment after Christmas and found it ransacked, his belongs slashed with a knife and many items just missing.

Hailey’s attorney admitted that Jon’s ex-girlfriend, who shared the apartment with him, took the TV and other items, but said those items belonged to her.

She denies any vandalism took place.

Loudmouth Mark Heller confirmed that Hailey's camp reached out to him about meeting to resolve the matter with Jon and that it would happen soon.

We have a shocking development: PETA has made news for a reason other than taking off the clothes of a D-list celebrity!

Has it saved a number of animals? Of course not. This organization doesn't actually care about that mission.

Instead, it's named new American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres and Project Runway host Tim Gunn as its Woman and Man of the Year, respectively.

"Their message that animals must be treated kindly and respectfully has reached scores of people, and many of them have changed their buying habits, all because Gunn and DeGeneres spoke up for the voiceless," PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement this week.

DeGeneres became a vegan in 2008; while Gunn always champions designs that use fake fur, faux reptile prints and other animal-friendly fabrics.

We're just shocked PETA didn't ask either celeb to pose naked. That's the way it typically makes headlines, wasting millions of dollars on Khloe Kardashian nude billboards instead of actually putting that money where the problems lie.

About a month after the comedian admitted long-time partner Kelli Carpenter moved out of their house two years ago, her rep has confirmed a new woman in Donnell's life: Tracy Kachtick-Anders, a Texas-based artist.

A photo of the couple walking together has been plastered across the Internet over the last 24 hours.

Who is Kachtick-Anders?

She is the founder of Open Arms Campaign, a non-profit organization aimed at recruiting and fostering adoptive families within the LGBT community.

"I have become an activist and work to educate everyone, not only about the plight of foster children, but also the inequality that faces LGBT people in their quest to create families," she has written.

Kachtick-Anders walks the walk, too: she has five adopted children.

O'Donnell, meanwhile, will host A Family Is A Family Is A Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration, a HBO documentary in January that challenges the traditional ideas of family. We doubt Carrie Prejean will turn in for it.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Hawaii hospital after suffering chest pains on Wednesday, according to numerous reports.

Paramedics responded to a call for help at 2:41 p.m. local time at the Kahala Hotel and Resort, a Hawaii TV station reported early this morning.

The 58-year-old Rush, who has an army of 20 million listeners, was taken to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, station KITV said.

Limbaugh's lawyer, Roy Black, told CNN he couldn't confirm reports that he had a heart attack but said he was "concerned" about Limbaugh.

The popular talk show host was vacationing for several days in Hawaii and was seen playing on a golf course nearby. It is unclear if he is still in the hospital.

Limbaugh has increasingly been seen as a key leader in the Republican Party, and a top-rated voice on radio for years who earns up to $50 million a year.

A rep from his program said in a statement: "Rush was admitted to and is resting comfortably in a Honolulu hospital today after suffering chest pains."

An Ohio lawman just got Carried away ... to jail!

Martins Ferry, Ohio, Police Chief Barry Carpenter was found guilty last month of snooping around the residence of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's surrogate mother, searching for souvenirs that he tried to sell to the tabloids.

He was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison after being convicted for receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence.

Michelle Ross, who gave birth last June to the celebrity couple's twin girls, was not at home at the time of the incident, but she discovered items misplaced.

Among the items Carpenter ganked were a plaster cast of her belly, ultrasound pictures and various surrogate documents with tax information. Obviously.

The police chief was later caught red-handed on audiotapes recorded by internal affairs investigators approaching paparazzi to hock the mementos for cash.

The policeman did catch a break, however: He could've gotten the maximum of six years in the slammer, but he was also acquitted on charges of burglary.

His attorney said he plans to appeal the sentence.

Advertisers, natives of Seaside Heights, N.J., and most people with morals hate it, but Jersey Shore's Nicole Polizzi isn't worried about negative stereotypes.

When Steppin' Out magazine asked "Snooki" what she would say to all the companies who have pulled ads from the controversial MTV show, she stated:

"I just have one thing to say to Domino's, Dell, UNICO and all the other haters out there: F**k you! If you don't want to watch, then don't watch."

Snooki added: "Just shut the hell up! I'm serious... F**k you!"

You can see how she ended up getting punched in the face. We're not saying she deserved it, just that you can see where Brad Ferro was coming from.

UNICO, the Italian-American organization that claims the show perpetuates negative stereotypes, plans to keep pressuring sponsors to boycott the show.

"She is not an embarrassment to Italian Americans. She is actually an embarrassment to the entire human race!!!!" UNICO said of Snooki in a statement.

No comment.

Italian-American groups and advertisers aren't the only ones pissed. Even the New Jersey town that's home to the series wants nothing to do with it.

Tomorrow night, they'll have even more Jersey Shore quotes to get offended by. The show returns in its usual, Thursday time slot at 10 p.m. on MTV.

On the other hand, perhaps Brooke Mueller does not want to divorce Charlie Sheen.

A few hours after an anonymous source said the end of this couple's marriage was definitely a possibility, a more reliable insider tells a different story.

Mueller has hired criminal defense lawyer Yale Galanter, who represented OJ Simpson for years, to represent her. Earlier today, he said to People:

"Brooke and Charlie are very passionate about each other, they love each other and want to try and save their marriage. They had a bad night and want to get beyond it. They want to try and resolve their issues."

Responding to allegations that his client recanted her side to police, Galanter said she instead "[minimized] her story, like many wives in a similar situation do, when they realize their husband could go to jail."

The attorney has filed documents to alter the protection order put in place by Colorado police.

He says Mueller is anxious to reconnect with Sheen because "they have absolutely gorgeous little babies and will do all they can to work out their problems."

It has been quite a year for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and now the police chief who broke into their surrogate mother’s house has been sentenced to serve jail time.

Barry Carpenter, an ex-Ohio police chief, will be spending the next two years and eight months behind bars for his role in the break-in.

Although the 16-year-old Gossip Girl cast member has an edgy, beyond-her-years look, she resents any comparisons to another former child star.

"I get such a bad rap for being like Lindsay Lohan," Momsen says in the February issue of Seventeen, denying that she has train wreck qualities.

"I hate naming names because she's really sweet, but I don't go out. I have no desire to be some party girl. I'm a loner. I always have been."

But the actress, who made her big Hollywood debut in 2000's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, does embrace her reputation as an "angsty" teen.

"I'll be angsty until I'm 80 years old," she says. "I think it keeps things fresh. But I think that angst is such a derogatory word toward teenagers."

"It just means you're figuring sh!t out."

In addition to acting, Taylor fronts the punk-rock band The Pretty Reckless. She complains that "people don't take me seriously" because of her age.

She's different than people her age, she insists.

"[People] think most 16-year-olds don't know what they want to do. But I actually really do, because I've been thinking about [music] since I was 2."
