Sources say Rihanna "wants the whole thing to go away" and isn’t helping the D.A. at all as he prepares his case against Brown for allegedly beating her to a bloody pulp in the early hours of February 8, the day of the Grammy Awards.
Rihanna is angry, they say, that pictures of her bruised face were leaked to the press. She’s not happy, too, that she was quickly identified as Brown’s victim.
Despite rumors that they are sort of broken up (after reconciling after the attack), her loyalty to Brown is apparent, though some think it will backfire. Even without her testimony, prosecutors already have evidence and a statement.
Even more damaging to Rihanna, ironically, may be be the image of her as a battered woman defending her batterer, a label she's already been tagged with.
For her to endorse - implicitly by doing nothing or explicitly by trying to nix the D.A.'s case - what happened February 8 could result in her going from victim to enabler. Victims may earn public sympathy, but enablers don’t.
Even if Rihanna feels partly responsible for initiating the fight with Brown - allegedly over a booty call text from Natasha Ellie - she was still pounded senseless.
Future commercial sponsors may not see Rihanna’s as an image they want to send to young consumers if she’s viewed as interfering with the criminal prosecution of Chris Brown ... or even if she's just getting gun tattoos for that matter.
Right now a hearing is set for a week from today. At that time, Brown will likely be arraigned on aggravated assault and criminal threats charges and plead not guilty. Whether Rihanna supports those charges remains to be seen.
In other Rihanna news, rumors that have linked her with Bromance and The Hills star Frankie Delgado are false, he told People, professing that his one, true love will always be Brody Jenner. Just kidding about the second part.
When Michael Jackson's tour kicks off in London this summer he wants Leona to join him on stage to sing his sister Janet's part on the hit single Scream.
A well-placed source claims, “Michael has a list of singers he feels could do Janet justice - and Leona is top.”

Making for quite the busy weekend, Rachelle Lefevre was spotted making her rounds all over Los Angeles on Friday and Saturday (March 27-28).
Looking as if she just rolled out of bed, the “Twilight” actress took her dog, Suckle, for a walk wearing a fluffy bathrobe - during which time she managed to flash her panties for following paparazzi.

Not only is she the richest and perhaps most beautiful model on Earth, but she says learning Tom Brady knocked up ex Bridget Moynahan brought them closer.
Step-motherhood and getting married came naturally to Gisele – who in February wed New England Patriots star Brady, just 18 months after his former girlfriend Moynahan gave birth to Brady's child, John Edward Thomas Moynahan.
"It was definitely a surprise for both of us," Bundchen, 28, tells Leslie Bennetts in Vanity Fair's May issue. "In the beginning you're living this romantic fantasy; you're thinking, This can't be true, it's so good! And then, Whoops – wake-up call!"
The rude awakening came just two and a half months after she had met Brady through a friend in late 2006, when she was instantly attracted to his smile.
There's no disputing that Bridget's baby bombshell "was a very challenging situation," admits Gisele. "Obviously, in the beginning, it's not the ideal thing."
Doubts arose. "You question at times – 'Should I stay here? Maybe you should work this out,'" she says. "But when people break up, it's for a reason."
In the end, working with Brady to deal with the baby, "was a blessing, because otherwise I don't think I would have known what he was made of, and he wouldn't have known what I was made of," she says, noting the athlete's integrity.
"He was such a good person through all the times. His heart is in a good place! It made me feel more in love with him; it made me realize who he was."

She has been pulling out all the stops to adopt a Malawian girl named Mercy James, and this morning Madonna appeared in a Malawian court to learn that the process has been put on hold.
The “Like a Virgin” songstress will not be able to discuss her adoption application until this coming Friday, as the court has adjourned until then.
After a busy day of bottle feedings, diaper changes and firing free nurses for her 14 children, Nadya Suleman ran one final errand on Thursday night: She and her friend drove over to pick up octuplet babies No. 5 and 6 from the hospital.
"They're both calm and quiet," Suleman said.
"I'm really excited to get them home."
Doctors at the hospital handed over brothers Makai (5 lbs., pounds, 5 oz.) and Jeremiah (5 lbs., 14 oz.) to Suleman at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
They arrived home a half hour later, wrapped in blankets and sleeping.
To celebrate the octuplets' 2-month birthday, a nanny working for the drain on society (and obviously funded by taxpayers, not any sort of Octo-income) baked cupcakes, which Suleman's six older children reportedly devoured.
That's right, she had six effing kids before she was Octomom.
It's been a busy couple of months for Nadya Suleman, a.k.a. Octomom. What does she have up her sleeve for her next desperate plea for attention? Nine kids?
The calm scene at Suleman's residence in La Habra was a contrast to the circus-like atmosphere that unfolded last week when the first two octuplets came home.
At that time, adozen police officers had to seal off the streets around Nadya Suleman's home to keep crowds away. Baby No. 7 is due home in the next few days.
Kendra Wilkinson is growing sick of the hype. While the model is rarely one to shun attention, she just wants to get her wedding day over with.
"We're ready just to get married and ready for our lives together," Wilkinson told People, concerning the state of mind of herself and fiance Hank Baskett. "I'm just really excited to be his wifey and he's excited to be my hubby."
The bride-to-be does have a lot to look forward to, of course.
"There are a lot of things that are exciting – the destination of the Playboy Mansion, and having Hef be there, and all the people who love me," she said.
Switching gears, Kendra said she does have one regret about her marriage: the planning has prevented her from helping Holly Madison on Dancing with the Stars.

Looks like former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is following in O.J. Simpson's footsteps by shopping a book about his rise from poverty to stardom and the misadventures that landed one of football's greatest talents behind bars.
A proposed memoir of Vick's rise from poverty to stardom would likely be an attempt to show the NFL that he's sorry enough to be let back in the league.
Vick is due to be granted early release from federal prison this year after being convicted in a dogfighting probe. He'll have served nearly two years.

Heading to the Land Down Under for promotional duties, Hayden Panettiere touched down at Sydney’s International Airport on Monday (March 30).

"Kevin was Jade's fitness instructor and became a friend. But that's all. Jack is really appreciative of all the help and support Kevin has offered but has felt he should back off at times. Jack doesn't want to rock the boat. He's a quiet guy and doesn't want trouble. But it's fair to say things are becoming strained."
When Jade passed away last weekend Kevin was by her bedside, and that – according to the source – left Jack "quietly fuming". The inside source:
"The whole thing with Kevin is really weird. He has a wife and children and yet he wanted to be with Jade. No one asked him to be there all the time. He just decided he would be.
"Jack found it really hard to deal with. There were times he just wanted to be alone but Kevin was rarely away from the scene. You have to ask yourself how would you feel if your wife was dying and her fitness instructor was there 24/7?"
